Intro
I have not paddled this section. I’m basing this description primarily off of a meetup group’s description of their trip. Based on the range of skill levels involved and the variety of boats used, I believe it to be a pretty easy paddle under normal conditions, suitable to most boats including glass sea kayaks.
This is an approximately 12-mile trip, from Skykomish River Park (day pass required) in Monroe. Around 4 miles after launch, the Skykomish merges with the Snoqualmie to form the Snohomish. Around 8 miles further you reach Cady Park in downtown Snohomish.
Views at times of Mt. Baker, White Horse Mountains, and possibly skydivers. “At Lords Hill Natural Area the sandy river banks temporarily gives way to stately vertical rock walls on the north bank.”
